JOURNAL: BUILDING A ‘HYPE FILE’
All of us come up against self-doubt, insecurities and imposter syndrome, no matter where we are in life or what we are working on. However, we can either engage with and entertain those thoughts, which often lead to self-sabotage, or lift our chins high and actively choose self-reverence and tap into personal power. With the right tools, this fiery and bold energy is something we can all channel as we build our reservoir of confidence.
In Marie Forleo’s podcast episode on Imposter Syndrome, she suggests combatting insecurities with a “hype file.” That's right; a file that you can refer to hold all the things you like about yourself, love about yourself, admire about yourself and yes, even get turned on about yourself. Start a note on your phone or in a journal and document a running list of compliments and notes of appreciation from people you surround yourself with, as well as track your successes/prosperity and what you’ve learned from each “win." Consider even uploading your favorite photos so that when your mind tries to convince you that you're “less than,” you can use your VISION to see otherwise. Whatever you put into your vision gets imprinted into your subconscious, and then your subconscious works to compute that into reality. So, when doubt arises or the negative mind starts to run unchecked, refer to the file to remind your mind just how absolutely f*cking incredible you are.
