We're so excited to announce this year’s Immersion in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: ROME.
In many traditions across time and space, the two most powerful days of th year are the Solstices. The Solstice is a time of rebirth and renewal, inviting us to rise and rise again, and truly step into who we are meant to become. With the days leading up to the Winter Solstice, we are excited to host our next Immersion to prepare ourselves to enter the Solstice portal with workshops from Desirée, Rose Theodora, and Birjiwan.

Intinerary
Think of this weekend as the perfect opportunity to meet members of the BENSHEN community, explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world during a magical season, and dive into a full day of immersive workshops to prepare your body and mind for one of the most powerful days of the year, Winter Solstice.

Welcome! We will begin the weekend by meeting at the iconic Trevi fountain at 6pm to meet one another and make a wish to start the weekend with magic... Afterwards, we will walk to find a bite, connect, and explore the beautiful city at night.

Did someone say pasticcino? Join us at 9am for a pastry and coffee before heading to the Pantheon for a little morning sightseeing. The rest of the day will be filled with workshops with Desirée, Birjiwan and Rose Theodora at Zem Yoga Studio Roma between 1-9pm (with a break in between for a late lunch).

Our final day will include meeting for breakfast and coffee, exploring more sights the city has to offer (exact site for morning tour is TBD) and finishes with an evening tour /
Full Moon Vesta Temple Rituals at the Forum. The Vesta Temple was an ancient sacred site, with little remains still standing in Rome today. The Temple housed six vestal sacred priestesses, also known as the vestal virgins, who continually tended to Rome's holy sacred flame, keeping it lit 24/7. The flame represented the spirit of Rome and was interconnected to its wellness and prosperity; the city's faith depended upon the temples' stoked fires. The Temple priestesses were highly respected, led several sacred rite ceremonies for the town, and exercised freedom and great financial wealth, unlike other women in ancient Rome who were considered enslaved or owned by their husbands or fathers and exercised no economic rights.
